Timbo Mangum . . . on fire for the month of June
The month of June was a good one for Late Model Crate driver Timbo Mangum and his team. The familiar T1 numbered car was a perfect 4-0 in feature events for the month. The 2008 season thru May had been a so so for the team with one main event feature win out of seventeen in LM Crate racing. The calendar change would be bring an end of some of the bad luck and prove to be a great month for Timbo and team. The first race of the month held at Lancaster Motor Speedway would be a $2,000 to win event in which Mangum would qualify on the pole and go on to win for his second Fastrak LM Crate division win of season. The following week, another $2,000 to win event, held at I-77 Speedway (SC), sponsored by JDM Concrete of Ft. Lawn, SC would be a repeat of the previous week. Timbo would qualify for the pole position and go on to the main event win. The third Saturday of June would prove to be another good night for Mangum and team as they would win the LM Crate feature event at I-77 Speedway (SC). The final weekend of the month would see the team pay another visit to I-77 Speedway in Richburg, SC for the third week in a row. This week would be the special RiteCare event. Once again, Timbo would win his heat race and start the feature from the pole. The feature would be a repeat of how the month had been for the team, as the T1 TNT chassis race car would go on the lead the entire Fastrak LM main event.
The upcoming weeks will see the team split their time in between I-77 Speedway (SC) and Fastrak Southeastern Regional races.
