ARCA Racing Series Preview: Toledo Speedway

May 18 ARCA Racing Series Preview: Toledo Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 18, 2017) – After a week off, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will be back in action this weekend at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway. MDM Motorsports, coming fresh off a win at Talladega (Ala.) Speedway with Justin Haley on May 6, will field two cars in the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care with drivers Harrison Burton and Vinnie Miller.

Sunday will mark the first race for both Burton and Miller at the high speed half-mile track in Toledo, Ohio. Burton was able to get behind the wheel and run some laps in a test at Toledo Speedway earlier this month in preparation for this weekend’s 200 lap race. Both Miller and Burton will use the information learned at the test as they prepare to battle some of the best drivers in the country on Sunday afternoon.

Harrison Burton, Driver of the DEX Imaging No. 28… Burton is coming off his second victory of the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) season at South Boston Speedway on May 6 in race number two of the Who’ Twin 100s. He also won at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 22. Sunday’s Menards 200 will be Burton’s ARCA Racing Series season debut. He had a very successful test at the speedway last week. This is only Burton’s second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start. He finished third at Iowa Speedway on July 9, 2016.

Harrison Burton on Toledo: “Toledo is one of those tracks that everyone circles as a track they enjoy racing at and there is a reason why, it’s a great track. I’m excited to return to ARCA Racing Series competition. Last year, we were able to score a top-five run at Iowa and I think we can have another great run this weekend at Toledo. My MDM Motorsports team has been bringing great cars to the track all year and I know they will again this weekend.”

Vinnie Miller, Driver of the Master Mfg. Inc No. 41… Miller made his ARCA Racing Series debut this season at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and was running inside the top-10 before an incident ended his race early and relegated him to a 25th-place finish. He is coming off his career best NKNPSE finish in race number two of the Who’ Twin 100s on May 6 at South Boston (Va.) Speedway. He finished third in the No. 41 Master Mfg. Inc Toyota.

Vinnie Miller on Toledo: “I’m looking forward to racing Toledo this weekend. After scoring a top-five at South Boston with my MDM Motorsports, I feel confident we can back that performance up with another solid run. It will also be very cool to be racing this close to home in the ARCA Racing Series. I will have lots of friends and family in the stands support our No. 41 Master Mfg. Inc., Toyota.”

The Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 at 2:00 p.m., ET.
